Show hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday and
Thursday (January 27 & 28); 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday
and Saturday (January 29 & 30) and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Sunday (January 31).
Admission to the show is $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for
seniors (62 and older) weekdays only, free (with ID)
for American Horticulture Society Members and free to
children 16 and under. Two Day Passes are $16.00 for

Northwest Flower and Garden Show The Northwest Flower & Garden Show returns February 3-7, 2010 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center."Beauty and Functionality" is the theme of this Northwest tradition, which debuted in 1989. The 2010 show again showcases inspiring work by over 20 top regional garden creators-integrating sustainable features with thousands of flowers and plants into spectacular full-scale themed gardens. A mid-winter classic, the show also features a line-up of internationally-known speakers in over 120 hours of seminars, shopping in the "Marketplace" area and activities for the entire family.
Whether you're new to gardening or an old pro with a thirst for new ideas, the show offers around-the-clock free "how-to" seminars and demonstrations geared for garden spaces large and small. A number of seminars will reflect the growing interest in vegetable gardening. The seminar line-up includes three world-class luminaries who will also review and judge the display gardens, including Fergus Garrett, Andrea Cochran and Roger Swain. Other top speakers--who will be introducing new books--include authors Suzy Bales, Rich Darke, John Greenlee, Valerie Easton, Debra Lee Baldwin, Kathy Brenzel, Saxon Holt, Roger Gossler and Keeyla Meadows.
Adding to the glitter, the Northwest Flower & Garden Show is proud to host the Arboretum Foundation's 2010 gala, Arbor Eden, on Tuesday, February 2. Allowing attendees the opportunity to preview the show the night before the show opens, this year's event coincides with the Arboretum Foundation's 75th anniversary of providing vital support for a regional treasure- the 230-acre Washington Park Arboretum. American Craft Council Show More than 700 top contemporary craft artists will present their latest handmade works at the 34th annual American Craft Council Show in Baltimore, Maryland, February 25-28, 2010 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Brand new in 2010, the Craft Council introduces a special Lawn & Garden category, which will feature artists who craft outdoor and lawn-specific furniture, décor, accessories, and more. Some of the artists in the category include Sara Drower, Joyce Barker-Schwartz (Barker-Schwartz designs) and David Sleightholm (sleightholmarts.com); and they create everything from unique outdoor rugs to sculptures designed specifically for your garden. Annual Herb Festival. Dill, and rosemary, and sage, oh my! On March 20th and 21st from 9am-5pm, San Diego Botanic Garden spices up springtime with its Annual Herb Festival featuring a wide array of the freshest aromatic plants and a special appearance by prominent American botanist and herb aficionado, Dr. James Duke - this year's esteemed guest of honor.
Holding several chief posts at the U.S. Department of Agriculture over the past three decades, Dr. Duke has gathered years of knowledge to cultivate his new book, The Green Pharmacy Guide to Healing Foods: Proven Natural Remedies to Treat and Prevent More than 80 Common Health Concerns. Examining the medicinal properties of natural foods, herbs and spices, Dr. Duke will discuss his latest work and will autograph special copies of his book during the two-day event.
In addition, guided tours of the lush herb garden will be provided, as well as A-Z of Herbs information booths and ongoing speakers who will be onsite to chat with visitors about herb-related topics. Guests will also have an opportunity to purchase their favorite herbs in the Herb Festival Marketplace and children will be able to participate in activities focusing on dill, the Herb of the Year.
In conjunction with the Herb Festival, San Diego Botanic Garden will also host its annual Spring Plant Sale and Tomatomania featuring an abundance of hybrid tomato seedlings and lectures.

Visionary Landscapes Paul Miskovsky, landscape designer and a trustee of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society will share with us how his visionary landscapes are created. Paul has used a unique design/build formula and his philosophy of "a place for a plant and a plant for the place" to construct gardens on Cape Cod and throughout New England for the past twenty-five years. He has also created award winning show gardens at the Boston Flower & Garden Show and the Rhode Island Spring Flower & Garden Show for over thirty years.
